IndiGo Airlines is the top employer of cabin crew in India, with over 300 aircraft and a constantly growing fleet. Here is everything you need to know about their hiring process.
**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS**
• Age: 18–27 years
• Height: Minimum 155 cm (Female), 173 cm (Male)
• Weight: Proportionate to height (BMI 18-25 preferred)
• Education: Class 12 passed minimum
• English: Fluent spoken and written
• Eyesight: 6/6 with or without correction
• No visible tattoos in uniform
**THE HIRING PROCESS**
Stage 1 — Online Application
Apply on IndiGo's careers page or attend an Open Day event. Ensure your resume is clean, one page, and highlights communication and hospitality experience.
Stage 2 — Walk-In / Open Day
IndiGo regularly holds walk-in events in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad. Dress formally. Bring 2 passport photos, one copy of resume, and all educational certificates.
Stage 3 — Group Discussion
Topics are typically general or aviation-related. Evaluators look for clarity of speech, confidence, and listening ability.
Stage 4 — Personal Interview
Behavioural and situational questions. This is where your academy preparation pays off.
Stage 5 — Arm Reach Test
You must be able to touch 212 cm on a marked wall while flat-footed.
Stage 6 — Medical Examination
Comprehensive medical including vision, dental, and general health.
