How to Improve Your English for Cabin Crew Interviews in 30 Days
Flying Wings Academy
February 01, 2026
English proficiency is the single biggest barrier for most Indian cabin crew aspirants. Here is our proven 30-day accelerated plan.
**WEEK 1: Foundation**
• Day 1-2: Record yourself speaking for 2 minutes. Watch it back. Identify errors.
• Day 3-5: Learn 10 new aviation/hospitality vocabulary words daily.
• Day 6-7: Listen to BBC News or CNN for 30 minutes daily. Mimic the accent.
**WEEK 2: Grammar Correction**
• Focus on tense usage — past, present, future.
• Practice subject-verb agreement.
• Eliminate common Indian English errors ("I am having," "itself" etc.)
• Spend 30 mins daily on grammar exercises.
**WEEK 3: Speaking Confidence**
• Join a WhatsApp group or find a speaking partner.
• Practice describing your day entirely in English.
• Record yourself answering interview questions. Compare daily.
• Read one article from Times of India in English, then summarise it aloud.
**WEEK 4: Aviation English**
• Learn standard aviation phrases and safety announcements.
• Practice PA (Public Address) announcements.
• Rehearse all interview answers in English.
• Take a mock interview with someone who can give feedback.
**Daily Non-Negotiables:**
✓ 30 mins of English listening (news, aviation YouTube)
✓ 10 new words
✓ 15 mins of speaking practice
✓ One written paragraph in English
At Flying Wings Academy, our 3-month English Speaking Course and 1-month English Proficiency Bootcamp are designed exactly around this framework — with real feedback from trainers every session.
